Safe use of Mole Traps and Equipment

It is strongly advised that protective gloves are worn at all times when setting and checking the mole traps.

Eye protection should be worn when placing traps in the ground to protect from flying soil and stones should the trap be triggered.

Eye protection should be worn when checking the traps and retrieving them from the ground.

Mole traps must NEVER be left in a set state when in storage, transit or whilst being handled at any time.

Do not allow children to play with the mole traps or interfere with traps that have been set in the ground.

Keep traps away from pets. Used traps will have a strong sent of moles making them particularly attractive to pets.

Consider all aspects of safety when handling and setting traps.

Be aware of the possibility that electricity cables may be laid within the depth of your digging in certain circumstances.

Before setting in fields ensure that you are fully aware of any livestock that may be present, in particular cattle and horses and also sheep.

Do not take risks - LIVESTOCK CAN KILL.

It is advisable in the interest of your own safety not to go about setting traps in the presence of livestock.

Wash your hands before eating following any handling or setting of mole traps.
